Sama foundation for arts and culture made a party at the foundation’s place in capital
| Sama foundation for arts and culture made a party at the foundation’s place in capital of Kurdistan region on the occasion of world’s women day on the 8th of March. The celebration had done outside in fresh air the environment gave hope and pleasure to the hearts. And promising of the approaching of spring after the winter is about to leave and give a space to spring to the grass and trees to be green. And let the bird chanting beautiful songs to add on the environment love and luster to March. …March of fest & celebration, happiness & sadness, and love & goodness, what a lot of celebrations in this month; one of them is the women’s day that people all of the world celebrate on this occasion; one of these people are Kurdish people who celebrate this day, To give women her real role as a society creator equal to man in her rights and duties. Putting an end to injustice and cheat that follow women as a consequence of historical facts bound to the evolution of mankind. And the neglecting that follows her due to the old fashioned backwards thoughts. That is why it was proceed to revive this occasion like other nations. And the hope will remain in getting their rights by living freely & in dignity equally to men. Not being ruled by inferior principles and unjust laws that get down her position. Rather than exploit every chance to raise her rank and open the way in front of her in all fields to go forward. Therefore at Sema foundation- Kurdistan branch started to revive the memory, many women’s foundations and organization came for this celebration. Above them Mrs. Shereen Amedy the secretary of Kurdistan women association & a member of central committee of Iraqi Kurdistan democratic party and many remarkable characters such as: professor Shukreya Rassul the parliament member, Mrs. Pakhashan Zangana the president of women community in Kurdistan parliament and chief of communist women union, and Mrs. Suham Anwar Wali a member at Kurdistan parliament on Turkmen’s, Mrs. Jehan Mustafa Ibrahim the head of Kurdistan women union- Nayneaw branch and in lieu of the women in west Kurdistan , Mrs. Jalla Hajee a member at executive bureau- head of press agent at the union, Dr. Viean Dakheel the president of medical charity association, Shekha Um-Haval on Yazeadian women, and Fareda Khan the responsible of the secretary of conservative women. And Mr. Ayub Galaly the head of developing democracy organization, the president of Soz center for culture in addition to a huge crowded people from different classes of women and youths among the society. Many media had covered the celebration like: Zagroz T.V, Al-Taakhy TV, Harem, Azady, Khabat newspaper, Gulan magazine, Pris paper, and Hawar paper. The ceremony started by standing with a silent minute on martyrs spirits of Kurdistan then with a national anthem. After that Mrs. Um- Basheer welcomed the attendance in the name of Sema foundation and talked about meanings and reasons that made the 8th of March a day for women, and the most important events that led to this day. And congratulated them on this occasion hopping to have a good time at the party, and wishing for women more progress and development. Then a sequence of words had been said: Mrs. Pakhshan Zangan’s word and the president of women rights committee at parliament, talked about March (Adar) and its meaning in Kurdish dictionary, March of green, March of spring, March of beautiful and sad tones, March of liberty and freedom. Where this day had witness the memory of 11th March 1991 the memory of liberating Hawler from the oppressed regime Moreover she spoke about the quality of the glories month and what carry for Kurdish people from beautiful and joyful and painful and sad occasions too. Then the responsible of Kurdistan union Musil branch spoke. Mr.Jehan Mustafa Ibrahem congratulated Kurdish women and confirmed on uniting the lines in Kurdistan. And emphasized that uniting Kurdistan region politically and geographically is above all. And called out the Kurdish women to love and cooperate between themselves by being people of one nation. And take away the oppression and persecution on women’s shoulder around the world. Moreover she ensured that Kurdish women had achieved important success on different levels specially after liberating Kurdistan and establishing the parliament, the women had been entered different field and open the way in front of her to get forward. Then Mrs. Suham Anwar Wali the member at Kurdistan parliament and represented the Turkmen at parliament congratulated at the beginning of her speech the martyr’s mother. And said that our celebration in Hawler at this day that witness liberating of Hawler is a precious occasion on our heart. And asked the women to struggle for getting her rights and demanding for it. She said that Kurdish women in Iraqi Kurdistan is progressed in spite of this short period she had an important role in society and entered the parliament and trying to change some of oppressive laws that remained from the extinct regime, and said we are now in a time of preparing constitution for Kurdistan, she added every foundation in Kurdistan should participate in this constitution and called out the Kurdistan region government and its parliament to response the demands of women for more progress and prosperity. After that Mrs. Shereen Amedy the secretary of Kurdistan women union thanked Sema foundation on its good initiative for reviving this memory and congratulated women in Kurdistan and around the world in the name of Kurdistan women’s union and wished more progress for women then she talk about March the month of goodness & happiness, the month of sadness & tragedy for Kurdish people. Also compared the role of women between today and yesterday, and said that she had stepped a beg steps towards the success and progression and blessed this day 11 March where it witness the liberating of Hawler in 1991. Finally, she thanked the attendance and wished to find a compromise solution for the occurring crises to the Iraqi government in Baghdad, and forming a democratic government in a near future. And said there was good proceeding happened recently. Like uniting the two administration in Kurdistan and said we were proud of Kurdish women that she should hold on the gains that she achieved. On this occasion Sema honored Mrs. Shad Salih as a sister of martyr Jutear Khedder Salih that he is from Hawler in Kurdistan- Iraq. And he had killed during the uprising in Kameshlo on March, 13,2004. Finally the singer Dlnia Qaradagy delighted the audience by singing some of her expressive songs that added pleasure and grace to the party. This was the final section at the celebration, after the introducer Shahan on this occasion thanked all the attendance by the name of Sema foundation and wished more progress, success, victory, and true equality for Kurdish women. |
