After the opening of Sema foundation formally its branch in the capital of
Kurdistan region Erbil and do many activities and events and are contributing
to the revitalization of cultural and art in Kurdistan of Iraq and the attempt
to highlight the role of art and culture in the advancement of peoples and the
extent of their progress.
And its place in Erbil became admiration and appreciation for those working in
this field and has attracted many Kurdish artists and intellectuals from
Kurdistan and outside of the other parts. And one of the most prominent
visitors to the branch the Kurdish director and poet Shirin Jehani Perhaps
rarely talk about Kurdish girl working in this field, in particular the
technical Film Productions. And especially in our Kurdish society perhaps a
breakthrough emerged in the Kurdish community, or deviated from the rule and
restrictions broken reactionary tribalism and in a society still suffers from
the weight of these classes and ideas
Yes perhaps say that art was the monopoly of men, not to mention that the girl

contemplating the bright future and tries to take great strides in her journey
of art.
And we can say she is the only Kurdish girls in Kurdistan working in this area,
where she visited the foundation and seemed signs ambition and the desire to
change something or to produce something new to serve her homeland and the
people across movie and television Productions, and to get a voice of that
people who sunken in injustice and who have suffered the scourge of through its
long term history, through Living and realistic films from the heart of
Kurdistan community, his life, and his long-suffer living, maybe she produce
films participating in the global festivals all signs and indications are that
she took side this difficult aspect of the art and trying to complete their
journey in spite of the difficult circumstances, but all hope and determination
to evolve.
It was her first visit to the Foundation, has expressed her admiration and
happiness when she heard the establishing of Sema foundation Branch Kurdistan
for interesting in Kurdish efficiencies of cultural and artistic, saying that
we desperately need such institutions which contribute significantly to the
development and provision of Kurdish heritage and culture and showed its
readiness to any cooperation and the work with the institution. And on the
question of the substantive work produced so far said: It directed a series of
television documentary consists of 21 episodes talks about the certain era in
the history of Kurd broadcasted on Kurdistan sat 2004.
Also she directed three panel television for the life of the three Kurdish poet
from Kurdistan in Iran and are:

3-Khale Meen Brznji and also broadcast on Kurdistan channel

artistic work.
